Dear fellow musician,

you have found the very first article of this blog, which has the purpose of making you feel inspired, focused, as well as seen on your path as an artist. Today's article will help you to get to know me – Pascal – better, which might already show you that there are other musicians who have the same struggles and challenges to face, but also incredible highlights that make it all worth it. So, let's start!

I am Pascal, a studied audio engineer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Solingen, Germany. I have been playing guitar since 2008, bass, singing, and writing songs, and I am still active as a guitarist and bassist in bands today.

That Feeling

Since I was being accused of unconsciously humming children’s songs by my elementary teacher, I am making music and playing guitar and bass in several bands. During my studies in computer science and later in my 9–5 routine, I always felt something screaming inside me. It was that feeling I have whenever I am humming, holding a guitar in my hand or standing on a stage and playing with and for others. It couldn’t keep me sitting at a desk the whole day forever, making old white men who don’t know or care about me even richer.

Leveling Up

Something needed to change. So, in 2021, I began the journey into making music my profession, which led to a degree in audio engineering and music production. Finally, I launched my own music and audio production studio, Air Pressure Records!
Nonetheless, I am still grateful for the last ten years. They have incredibly enriched my life in terms of personal development and wonderful connections.

With the end of 2025, I have quit my job and have now committed myself to making a living with my musical activities.

Letting Go

After five years as New Gravity’s lead guitarist, I have decided to part ways with them in order to focus my energy on other music projects. While our goals were not a match anymore, we are still friends and I am looking forward to further producing their songs.
In the long run, I would love to join an ambitious Alternative Rock band when the time and vacancy is right. In 2025, I already had exciting musical encounters, who definitely deserve to be mentioned.

New Companions

With Annika Dewenter, a stunning soul singer and music school owner from Solingen, I met a great companion for my day-to-day life as a musician. Not only did we both take the step to work in the music industry, but we also have formed a new band called GLOWFABRIK.

Lucas WielpĂźtz, a singer-songwriter from Bergisch Gladbach, asked me to join his newly formed band as the bassist. After playing some songs together with him and his bandmates Tristan, Mahmut, and Simon, we felt that it was an instant match both musically and personally.

A Common Path

We spend much time talking about our dreams, motivation, and goals for our musical activities. Whenever we do that, their words completely resonate with mine. It is very rare to find people who truly believe in and fully commit to their creative path. I am very grateful for all of them and looking forward to what the future holds for us.

It always felt like music is what I am supposed to do, which is why I am very happy to have made this step. If you’re interested in my journey, follow me on Instagram or other channels, which you can find in the footer.

For now: Stay calm, keep focused and do what you have to do. You know exactly what this is. Your future self will thank you.
