Sending the E-Mail Newsletter via “ConvertKit”

This website uses the services of ConvertKit for sending newsletters. ConvertKit, represented by Nathan Barry, is located at 750 W Bannock St #761, Boise, USA.

ConvertKit is a service that can organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. If you provide data for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g., email address), this data is stored on ConvertKit's servers in the USA.

With the help of ConvertKit, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with ConvertKit, a file contained in the email (a so-called web beacon) connects to ConvertKit’s servers in the USA. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message was opened and which links were clicked. Additionally, technical information is collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be attributed to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used solely for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of recipients.

In some cases, we may direct newsletter recipients to ConvertKit's websites. For example, our newsletters may contain a link that allows recipients to view the newsletter online (e.g., if there are display issues in the email program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can correct their data, such as the email address, afterwards. The privacy policy of ConvertKit is only available on their website.

In this context, we point out that ConvertKit’s websites use cookies and thus process personal data through ConvertKit, its partners, and service providers (e.g., Google Analytics). We have no influence over this data collection. Further information can be found in ConvertKit's privacy policy. Additionally, we point out the options to object to data collection for advertising purposes on the websites www.aboutads.info/choices and www.youronlinechoices.com (for the European area).

If you do not want analysis by ConvertKit, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe directly on the website.

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data you provided for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be retained by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and ConvertKit’s servers after unsubscribing. Data stored for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for the members' area) remain unaffected.
